About
Our Virtual Camp runs for one week in the summer (or any given week if booked privately).
We will meet you at “the airport” to start this experience. We use fun and engaging online platforms to simulate “metaverse-style” campuses and environments to make you feel away from home. We want you to have the experience of learning, exercising, and visiting Vancouver as if you were in Canada.
Our curriculum includes Technology, Entrepreneurship, Wellness. + Fun + Tourism.
THE WELLNESS LAB
Healing and transformation can only happen when we bring the mind, body and spirit together. The Urban Camp created THE WELLNESS LAB, a program designed to provide you with the latest techniques in meditation, breath therapy, laugh therapy, fitness and overall well-being habits so that you can achieve optimum health and wellness.
This wellness program takes place every morning in a safe and caring environment where everyone can feel understood, seen and heard. Our body remembers what our mind can’t, so let’s relax, laugh, breathe and Ommm together. We are all a work in progress. Let’s make sure we create a better version of ourselves daily.
Our Morning Routine will activate the body and mind. Because we believe that a healthy mind and body are the foundations for a successful life!
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Our entrepreneurship program, Littlepreneurs, is designed to start our Urban Campers in the world of “big ideas”. The program starts with a Superpowers discovery workshop which sets the tone for the week ahead.
We teach our Urban Campers How to Launch a Startup with $20.
We also teach them the essential tools to create a brand and how to use digital platforms and apps for advertising their products or services.
Since many brilliant ideas never see the light of day due to lack of funding, we will take Urban Campers on a little “camping trip” to teach them the art of storytelling and pitching. We will teach them how to attract investments to turn their project into attractive investments. Through tips and practice, they will gain enough confidence to deliver a pitch so that no one will want to turn it down.
In this program, expect to collaborate with other Urban Campers on fun, modern and creative projects!
This program is designed to encourage our Urban Campers to grow and cultivate their entrepreneurial mindset while being introduced to the inescapable world of technology.
TECHNOLOGY
Since no entrepreneur can survive without modern technology, we take our Urban Campers on a journey to learn some interesting digital and technical skills and to introduce them to different tools that are readily available for use. This program is part of The Tech hub, which includes topics such as:
- VR Coding + Other Realities
- Cybersecurity
- NFTs + Digital Art
- Video Producing, Filming & Editing
FUN ACTIVITIES + VIRTUAL TOURISM
During this one- week camp, Urban Campers will also experience some fun activities such as:
- TieDye workshop
- The Urban Parkour
- Video Games Talk
- Visit to iconic sites in and around Vancouver
- Intro to Chess
- Farewell Party

Let’s take EVIVE (a smoothie company) and Straws N’ Stuff as examples. Both are Canadian companies that we introduce during the Wellness Lab. We use their stories and mission to educate our Urban Campers on the power of creating a product that answers people’s needs. The best part? Urban Campers will be able to try their products!
We’re always looking for new partners that share our values, so we expect the list of local businesses we collaborate with to continue to grow!

Our Camps Include:

What we do NOT include ... but could arrange
- Extra hours of English lessons prior to the camp could be arranged (2 hours per day, 8 hours total)
- Off-hours support (late night 10:00 pm and 5:00 am)
- Equipment (laptops, tablets, smartphones)
- Paid apps (except for the Cyberguardians App, which is included)
- Meals
- Medical insurance
FAQs
What's the deadline for registration and payment?
Registration and full payment must be received by June 12th, 2022. Any registrations after this date is subject to a USD$100 last-minute fee.
What happens if I signed up but won't be able to attend?
For cancellation requests that arrive within the timeline stated below, we will issue the specified refund. All cancellation requests must be received in writing, sent to Edna@theurbancamp.com, and signed by all parties in order to be considered. Refunds owing shall be paid within thirty (30) days of The Urban Camp receiving written notification.
- We issue a 100% refund if we receive your cancellation request at least fifteen (15) days prior to the camp start date, however, a USD$300 deposit will be kept.
- For any cancellations that arrive up to 14 days prior to the start date, no refund will be issued.”
