Whether you are a tech enthusiast, own a school, are a teacher at a school and are looking to upgrade your knowledge and innovate, we have a mini FAM Trip (in Vancouver and Online) where we will take you on an experience to learn the incredible industry of Tech. You will be able to try and test new technologies while you visit the beautiful city of Vancouver.

This exciting program demystifies the world of technology and explains the career opportunities of the future. During a week at The Urban Camp you will be able to identify the latest trends in the Tech industry and all opportunities there are not only for your students, but for all of us!

An introduction to:

• Understand and get familiarized with different technologies that exist such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed (MR) and Extended (XR) Reality. Learn to identify how Artificial Intelligence (AI) works and why AI is an arm of Machine Learning (ML).
• Learn how to teach Coding in an easy, engaging and fun way without holding a Computer Science Degree. You will be able to use, test and understand the C3D platform Powered by Codeca. And because we want you to experience what our students do, you will create your own virtual world and get to share it with your friends, family and students!
• Intro to English lessons using AI and Virtual Reality. An innovative, self-paced, and faster way to practice your listening and speaking skills.
• Stay safe when navigating online. An introduction to Cybersecurity to become aware of the dangers lurking online. You will learn to identify attacks, understand the trail electronic data leaves, and how to protect yourself and your loved ones. You will also be able to test your knowledge about passwords and security practices in an App, powered by Kids’ Shield.
• NFTs and Digital Art. Learn the history of media, the present of NFTs, and the future in the metaverse. We will teach the importance of what connects the tech world, art, and media and explore the big opportunities that exist. You will be able to test a digital platform in order to create your own NFT.
• 3D Modeling and 3D printing. You will be able to visit the lab, powered by Zen Makers Lab where you will get to design a model using 3D technology and get to see your model being printed on a 3D printer, so you can proudly display your accomplishment.
• Electronics + Robotics. This is an info session of what our students can learn and do at our camps, whether we teach them online or live from the Labs.
• The Psychology behind Money. A workshop to understand and make peace with money and why it is crucial to teach the younger generation about financial literacy. Guest Speaker and Workshop.
• Understand Programming Languages. A Master Class to show you how website and Apps are created.
• Digital Product Lifecycle. Understand the work and digital skills behind all digital products we use at home. Learn the different stages that need to happen before we can use a product: Ideation > Minimum Viable Product (MVP) > Design > Development > Marketing > Data > Product Management.

In order to live the complete The Urban Camp experience, this introduction to the digital world and Tech will be complemented with our The Urban Camp Miracle Morning Routine.
