Questions About The Urban Camp and Academics? We have the Answers!

Why do you offer more learning opportunities than any other ESL school?

Simple: Because we believe that education has evolved, and so have your students.

All of our camps and courses have different advantages to facing the real-life demands. Offering technology, entrepreneurship, and wellness topics allow us to provide your students with a well-rounded and holistic experience. We strive to deliver innovation, fun, and work balance while opening the door to a new and exciting world. English will follow along.

Who are your teachers and instructors if they are not ESL teachers?

We have carefully curated a team of experts in their fields. Some are owners and CEOs of startups; some are young, wise and energetic; some are mature and full of wisdom. Our team of professionals ensures that The Urban Camp students receive a challenging, international, and innovative education that focuses on your student as an individual.

What level of English is required to apply to your camps and programs?

Your students will enjoy our summer/Easter camps better if they are at least an A2 (according to the Common European Framework). Anything above this level is excellent! However, if you prefer your students to practice English before the camp starts, we cater to students who still need to improve their English language skills.

Our English instructors have decades of experience teaching English as a second language. You don’t have to recur to your partners to get extra English lessons. We will arrange that for you!

Where do your classes or workshops take place? In university classrooms like other camp providers?

Not precisely. After years of experience, we have come to a better idea. We offer our students different learning environments: From labs to studios, shared office spaces, coffee shops, and event spaces at well-known companies.

Do my students need to learn anything about technology before attending your programs?

Not unless you want to. It is not a requirement for now. However, The Urban Camp offers a vast choice of programs your students can take during the year; pre-camp to get ready for the experience and post-camp to continue their education. This ensures that your students can even continue their studies after returning from our camps. We offer solid 15-week courses and 3-6 months of experience in Vancouver for those keen to learn or study any of our programs further.

We work with schools. How can we integrate your programs into our schools?

Some schools want The Urban Camp to be part of their curriculum, so we show up every Wednesday for 2 hours, bringing quality and innovative lessons right to their classrooms. We focus on one topic each month, and by the end of the year, students will have gained digital skills, entrepreneurship, leadership, and soft skills and explored Canadian culture. All while practicing their English!

Another way is to help build their camps, whether they want to leave it all to us to coordinate and operate or enhance their current camps with some of our best sellers’ workshops!

Can we hire The Urban Camp for after-school courses?

Absolutely. We have 15-week courses that can be offered after school to the schools you work with, formal students and even new clients! What a great way to connect and re-target them again with the latest tech innovation.

MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY

The Urban Camp Curriculum allows us to be flexible according to your clients’ needs. We can offer continuous and uninterrupted academic programs throughout the school year if needed. This flexibility will enable schools and students to join The Urban Camp at any time before travelling to Canada.
